I like Xbox for the good gaming but I don't like having to pay to play online.
I like PS3 because PSN is free yet there aren't as many good games and the controller isn't really comfortable for me but meh.
What do you choose?

PC because keyboard is more comfortable. Can be re-binded easily.
Easier to upgrade computers.

There's not that much difference, Xbox tends to be cheaper. Apart from that it's all about which exclusive games you'd rather play, Halo vs Uncharted etc.
Playing online can be annoying to pay, but it's not that expensive really.
The PS3, from what I've seen, needs more updates and downloads for games that can be annoying.
However if you get a 60gig PS3 you can play PS2 games on it which is really cool.
You need to decide what you're looking for in a console, but really between the two there isn't much difference.
